It was one of those prayed for times when Optimus had given the youngest Maximal some liesure time to himself, and the Predacons were being curtious enough not to take it away too quickly.
During this time, Cheetor was doing a little delving into the old Transformer Archives and Data Tracks. Ever since he'd learnt that the strange planet they had crashed on was called 'Earth', the name had jarred something within the confines of his processor. It was probably something mentioned in an old lecture from his later education back on Cybertron.

  Missiles and lasers showered down on the surrounding area, turning up the land and creating huge craters. They sounded all over, like fireworks, their owners clearly having the area pinned.
  The five hiding Predacons quickly reverted back to their Beast Modes without argument and hurriedly disappeared.
  Megatron turned back to Optimus and grunted, his mouth twisting into a threatening snarl, before his purple T-Rex head took it's place.
  'I swear, Optimus, you just got lucky!' he shouted. 'Next time, victory will be mine!'
He then turned tail and ran away into the distance, like his troops before him.

I see what you mean.

Yeah, it looks like some proportions are off here. I was looking at his art on the Wiki and he looks so svelte and wiry so his chest fur's gonna cover a lot of his front paws, but yeah, he needs to be more elongated. Good eye.

Heh, I see Nauxis in panel 3 and imagine him saying, "This is why I hate mondays."

But yeah, the idea of being flung into a mini-war where death is a necessity probably won't sit well with most of the mons here...at least with rescuers, anyhow. Hopefully Hawkrow and Nauxis can weather the storm safely enough in the medical area...it's going to be a bumpy ride.

Excellent job on all the 'mons! I especially like how you drew and colored Callahan! I want to make a sofa out of his tails!

It's funny, I was intending for Nauxis's injuries to be short-lived, but we both wound up needing them as plot devices! Sorry Nauxis 'ol pal, you'll remain defaced so long as the plot demands it!

Nauxis just don't like Mondays...

I do think it's unfortunate that the outcome for the main/ meatier missions has to result in death, especially for Rescuers considering it goes against most of their ethics. I know we can just let the NPCs get their hands dirty, but in the end your "devout" Rescuer just aided a murder. :/

It's funny you should say that about Nauxis' injuries, I felt exactly the same way about Leon's scar. I--really need to stop drawing it in. >>;

Yea, there's been a bit of a tonal shift since the time warp incident, I've noticed. It's a bit weird considering the nature of the pokemon universe, but I have to admit it made my M8 Past story into something I'm excited for. I'm hoping it won't stay like this for too long, though!
